Veronique MacDonald Portrait

Born and raised near the beaches of Normandy, I have always felt a natural connection with the United States. Upon graduating from Law School in France, I moved to Chicago to pursue a Master of Laws degree at Northwestern University, where I met my future husband, Mark, a North Shore native. After working as an Attorney in Brussels, I came back to Chicago to start a family and pursue a career managing the global communication team of a large international organization. We have lived in some of Chicago’s best neighborhoods, including Lincoln Park, Lakeview, and Bucktown. We moved to Evanston for its beautiful old houses, proximity to the beach, restaurants, and walkability.

I am an active member within the French community and am very involved in the promotion of French culture and the development of the Normandy region in the Chicago area. I am currently serving on the Boards of both the French-American Chamber of Commerce and the Association des Français et Francophones de Chicago. I have served as a Board member of the Groupe Professionnel Francophone (an Association of Francophile Professionals), and was a longtime volunteer at the Lycée Francais de Chicago as well as its Parents Association.

As a real estate agent, I am a passionate advocate for my clients. Whether you are changing countries or neighborhoods, I strive to find you the right house within your budget. An agile problem solver, I have experience meeting tight deadlines and managing unexpected complications. Navigating between two cultures and languages, I have honed my listening skills and excel at finding common ground among competing priorities. I enjoy helping you map out your move, whether it is discovering multiple options for schools or navigating administrative hurdles.

Whether you are renting, buying, or selling, I will provide guidance every step of the way. I invite you to contact me to discuss your next steps.
